 The Technical Advancement Center was created by Omaha Truck Center, Inc. in 1996 to train the dealership's heavy-duty technicians and those of its customers and fellow dealers. In 2005 Omaha Truck Center built a new training facility in Omaha, located next door to its Freightliner dealership.
 The new TAC training facility is an 11,500 square feet state-of-the-art facility with four truck bays, two well equipped classrooms with digital audio and video equipment, and all of the computers, programs, tooling and truck components necessary to keep technicians up to-date. The new TAC facility will not only keep seasoned techs certified and abreast of changing technologies but it will also help recruit and develop student technicians for the future of trucking.
 Shawn Klein and Terry Straw are trainers at the TAC training facility. They both have 15-plus years' experience in diesel technology. When you're in the area feel free to stop by and ask Shawn or Terry for a tour of their training center, located at 10560 I Street in Omaha.
