History

The year was 1975. Two men, Floyd Hough and Lloyd Brown, had a vision: to create a business that helped better serve the needs of local transportation companies. This was the birth of Omaha Truck Center, Inc. In 1984, Jim Schlarb took over OTC, Inc. At the time, Omaha Truck Center consisted of one location on I Street in Omaha, Nebraska with 20 employees.

Since 1984, OTC has grown to 11 business locations in Nebraska, Kansas and Iowa with nearly 400 employees. In 2005, OTC built a state-of-the-art training facility, the Technical Advancement Center, which is headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska. Trey Mytty took over the company January 1, 2008, with the vision of continuing Omaha Truck Center's growth while still providing unparalleled customer service.

The trucking industry has changed over the last 35 years and the economy has had its ups and downs. OTC has met these challenges head on to help our customers succeed. Our employees strive to live up to the vision created long ago: meeting and exceeding our customers' expectations by providing excellent customer service, like you'd expect from a good neighbor.
