Freightliner announces EPA 2010 surcharge
Freightliner Trucks announced August 3 that its SCR (selective catalytic reduction) system for compliance with upcoming U.S. EPA 2010 limits on heavy-duty diesel nitrogen oxides (NOx) will mean EPA price surcharges of $6,700 on the Cummins ISB engine, $7,300 on the Cummins ISC engine, and $9,000 on the Detroit DD13 and DD15 engines. The cummins ISX engine option is to be determined.
EPA07 engines are available for production in all Freightliner models as long as the engines are available. Build slots are limited, if you're considering one of these truck options. Orders must be placed by December 01, 2009 and again depend on EPA07 engine availability.
Please contact a sales representative at any of our Truck Center locations for further information.
